Yvonne R. (St. John) Batista, 96, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born in Springfield, MA on June 11, 1930, she was the daughter of Horace and Alice (Youmel) St. John. Yvonne graduated from the former Springfield Trade High School and worked for Diamond Match Co for many years. She went on to own and operate a laundromat and dry-cleaning service for many years.
Yvonne is survived by her loving daughter Nancy Santos; her granddaughter Nichole Rucki and her great-granddaughters Olivia, Lauren and Avery. Yvonne was predeceased by her son Robert Batista (1995), her husband Manuel (2007) and her siblings Irene, Hazel, Alice, Anna, Gloria and Clarence.
