Obituary

Vicki Marie Melbourne, age 37, of Springfield, MA, gained her angel wings on Friday, June 19, 2020. She was born on January 8, 1983 in Springfield, MA to James Melbourne and Doris (Myers) Melbourne.

Vicki went to Roger L. Putnam High School, where she studied Cosmetology. She was a member of the VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) program and served as Secretary and President.  Vicki won an award given to her by the Governor of MA.

Even though Vicki’s life was filled with many challenges, she overcame all of them with strength and determination. She had such a loving heart which she opened to all of her family and friends. There was never a dull moment when she was spending time with loved ones. Throughout her life she enjoyed cosmetology, going out with her friends, and shopping. She especially enjoyed taking road trips with her girls to Cape Cod, parks, beaches, zoos and museum’s. Vicki had such an outgoing personality and a laugh that could make a whole room laugh with her. She loved life and wanted to show her girls the world, one adventure at a time.

Vicki is survived by her parents, James and Doris Melbourne of Fort McCoy, FL; her three children, Victoria LaBier of Chicopee, MA, Mia Melbourne-Grosse and Bailey Melbourne-Grosse of Three Rivers, MA; her brother, Scott Melbourne of Live Oak, FL and her sister, Katie Melbourne of Fort McCoy, FL. It still doesn’t feel real. I keep thinking you would wake up one day and surprise us all. I miss your laugh, your silliness, and your loyalty. Ever since we met we had some great memories I will always cherish. I love you and I know you are finally resting with Jaime. RIP my little Beige girl ❤️????

Sincere condolences to each of you ❤️. Vicky hung in there for a long time. She was a spunky gal! She deeply loved her whole family. As a nurse in her home for several years,Vicky and I had many talks and took the kids to the park often! I loved being part of the family and will treasure these memories. Vicky at first didn't want nurses to be in her home, but she accepted me and we worked on things together. We had good communication and respect for each other.I met most of her extended family and saw the love and closeness there. Vicky will be missed, but I know she will be watching down with love for her family. She is no longer suffering and I believe she is at peace with Jamie.
