Thomas J. Shea, 61, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Born December 28, 1953 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Dorothy (Callahan) Shea.
Educated Springfield schools, Tom proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Tom loved all New England sports teams especially the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Eileen (Maxfield) Shea; a son Thomas A. Shea and Jennifer Mandeville of Springfield and their son Derek Mandeville. Tom also leaves several bothers and sisters-in-law and their families.
Toms family would like to thank the staff at the Holyoke Soldiers Home, the nurses from the Home Based Nursing Program of the Veterans Administration and the nurses from Baystate Hospice for the wonderful care given to Tom.

Services celebrating Toms life will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
