Theresa A. (Tavernier) Sears

Theresa A. (Tavernier) Sears, 93, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023.  Daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Daigle) Tavernier, she was born in Ludlow on January 14, 1930.  A graduate of Cathedral High School, she worked as a supervisor at Liberty Mutual Insurance.  A devout communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow, she was a longtime member of the Ladies of St. Anne.  Theresa loved bingo, crossword puzzles, the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.

Theresa is survived by her children Thomas “Chip” Sears and spouse  (Debbie), Michael Sears and Patricia Walter.  She also leaves her grandchildren Shannon, Sean, Robert, Brandon, Theresa and Joshua, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Thomas “Skip” Sears, her brother Francis Tavernier and her sisters Jeanne Tavernier, Loretta Beauvais and Clara Desotelle, along with her great-granddaughter Claire.

Funeral services for Theresa will be Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish.
