Theodore W. Salva, 94, of Ludlow passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. Son of the late Stanley and Louise (Brach) Salva, he was born in Chicopee Falls, MA on May 12, 1920.
Ted was educated in Chicopee schools and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He worked for many years as a machinist at Package Machinery Co. Ted was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and golfing, along with polka music.
Ted is survived by his son Thomas S. Salva (Mary) of Belchertown, MA and a daughter Cheryl Salva (Susan) of West Springfield, MA and a brother Joseph Salva of WI. He also leaves his 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Helen, a son Kenneth, his brothers Edmund, Walter and Albert and his sisters Adele and Frances.
Services celebrating Teds life will at 10:30 AM, Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA.
