Stephen T. Kumisca, 67, of Springfield, passed away peacefully Friday, January 22, 2021. Born in Ludlow on December 24, 1953, he was the son of the late Joseph and Adele (Karpinski) Kumisca. Educated in Ludlow schools, Stephen proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He went on to work as an airline mechanic for several companies, working in Florida and Italy.
Stephen is survived by his brother Edward Kumisca of Benicia, CA; two nieces Kathryn Kumisca of Oakland, CA and Meghan Kumisca of Sausalito, CA. He also leaves behind a lifetime friend Kristina Kastka-Clark of Germany. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Richard Kumisca in 1997 and Robert Kumisca in 2016.
A memorial service celebrating Stephen’s life will be held at a future date with private burial at the convenience of the family.
