Stephen A. Makuch 78 of Wilbraham died Tuesday August 13, 2013 in a Boston hospital. Born in Ludlow July 25, 1935 so of the late Andre P. and Josephine A, (Skiba) Makuch. Educated in local schools he was a graduate of Ludlow High School, he then served his country as a member of the Army Reserves. he was a Communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church. His trade was in tool design. He worked at several companies, the last being Smith & Wesson, retiring in 1988. He was also a musician with the Happy Pals of Ware. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Evelyn J. (Wytaniec) Makuch, his beloved son Carl T. Makuch and his wife Victoria of Chicopee, Devoted grandfather of Tedy. Brother of Amelia Gancarz and her husband Eugene of Belchertown, Uncle of Andrea and her husband Babak and their son Andrew of Belchertown, Gregory Gancarz and his wife Yuka of California, and sons Kent and Grant. Nephew of Genevieve Olender. Also survived by many cousins extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Monday August 19, 2013 at 11 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow rites of committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
