Stanley J. Ziemian, 95, of Ludlow passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. Stan was born on July 8, 1927. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Ziemian who owned and operated a grocery store for many years on East Street in Ludlow. He was educated in local schools. Stan enlisted in the Navy during World War II. After leaving the Navy, he worked for Monsanto Chemical Company as an Electrical Technician. It was during this time that Stan attended Western New England College, after which he was promoted to Process Control Engineer. He worked for Monsanto for 45 years. Stan and his wife Vivian, who predeceased him in 2020, loved to travel. They liked to say that they had “traveled the world”. During the last year of his life Stan resided at Keystone Commons in Ludlow.
Stan is survived by his son Dave Ziemian and his wife Sharon of Palmer and his daughter Susan (Ziemian) Tenerowicz and her husband Thomas of Blackstone, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren: Rebecca Ziemian, Lauren (Tenerowicz) Labonte and her husband Jeremy and Adam Tenerowicz and his wife Kathleen, along with three great-grandchildren: Elise Labonte, Peter Tenerowicz and Harry Tenerowicz. In addition, Stan was predeceased by his grandson Matthew Ziemian. Stan was a good man and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visiting hours for Stan will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee, MA.
