Obituary

Salvatore T. Alessio, 81, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022, with his loving family by his side.  Son of the late Salvatore and Eularia (Falato) Alessio, he was born in New Haven, CT on October 20, 1941.  Sal worked as the manager of the Print Shop at Hamilton Standard for 30 years, then at PVTA, retiring in 2003.  He was a devout communicant of Christ the King Church.

Sal is survived and will be missed by his beloved wife of 59 years Jane (Kielbania) Alessio of Ludlow; his son John Alessio of Ludlow; his daughter Marijane Rebenciuc and her husband Sandu of Bedford, NH and his granddaughter Sophia Rebenciuc. He also leaves his sisters Joan Vandale and Evelyn Hauser as well as several nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Edward Alessio.

Sal’s family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their care and compassion as well as The Dominican Nuns and National Shrine of The Divine Mercy for their many prayers for him during his illness.

Family and friends are invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial for Sal on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church.  Please meet directly at church.  Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
