Surrounded by her loving family, Ruth A. (McDonnell) Fales, 75, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. Born in Springfield, MA on January 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Bernice (Taylor) McDonnell. She attended Cathedral High School. A longtime Ludlow resident she was a member of First Church in Ludlow.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Richard Fales of Ludlow; four daughters Debra Charpentier (Roger) of Ludlow, Karen Krawczynski (Robert) of Chicopee, Linda Grenon (Gilbert) and Kathleen Hinds both of Springfield; two brothers Michael McDonnell (Christine) and Daniel McDonnell (Jacqueline) both of Chicopee. She also leaves her 5 beloved grandchildren Nicholas (Christina), Matthew, Amanda, Nicol and Christina; 3 great-grandchildren Torryn, Caelin and Emrys. In addition she leaves her uncles Alton Taylor of VA, and Robert DiTomaso of CA as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Sadly she was predeceased by her son-in-law Mark Hinds.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 6:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family
