Ronald C. Wisner, 82, of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Hayes) Wisner, he was born in Deer River, NY on March 25, 1938. Ron was a graduate of Carthage High School & STCC. He proudly served as a member of the U.S. Air Force for 12 years during the Vietnam War. A longtime Ludlow resident, he worked in several capacities at Big Y Inc. for 30 years. He was a 50 year member of First Church in Ludlow. He served as custodian, on many committees, and his favorite jobs were peeling vegetables and drying silverware for suppers. Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved bowling and was a active scoutmaster for 12 years
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara (Hatch) Wisner of Ludlow, a son Ronald F. Wisner of Ludlow and a daughter Susanne (Wisner) McWilliams (Alexander) of Brewster and his beloved grandchildren Logan, Alexis and Morgan. He also leaves his 5 sisters Nancy Jones, Janice Bachman, Mary Saber, Clara Tyner and Sally O’Connor, many nieces, nephews and countless friends. He was predeceased by his brother Larry Wisner.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life Service for Ron will be held at a later date. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to First Church in Ludlow.
