Rodney J. Dumas, 70, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Carleton and Doris (Guyette) Dumas, he was born in Ludlow on August 6, 1949. Rodney attended the former Springfield Technical High School and worked as an oil burner technician and tanker driver for Davis Fuel and Noonan Energy. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow.
Rodney is survived by his wife Suzan (Rogers) Dumas of Indian Orchard, his sons Michael Dumas (Pamela) of Springfield, Craig Dumas of West Springfield; a daughter Angela Rodriguez of Agawam; his brothers Kenneth and Thomas Dumas (Nancy), both of Pensacola, FL. He also leaves his 6 beloved grandchildren Alexis (Joshua), Justine, David, Devin, Abigail and Emily as well as his great-granddaughter Claire.
Funeral Services for Rodney will be Friday, January 3, 2020 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Rites of Committal will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Donations in Rodney’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
