Obituary

Robert L. Bardon, 72, of Ludlow, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022.  Son of the late Edward and Irene (Veillette) Bardon, he was born in Holyoke on January 1, 1950.  A graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School, Bob also attended the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass.  He was Produce Manager for Big Y Supermarkets for 40 years  years, retiring in 2014.  A longtime Ludlow resident, Bob was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Parish and the Ludlow Senior Center.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Carol (Monchamp) Bardon; his brother James Bardon and his wife Marybeth and his sister Carol Przybyla and her husband Fred.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother Doris Couture-Bardon.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Bob will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA.  Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or www.www.shrinerschildrens.org or the Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center, 228 State St., Ludlow, MA,

Carol, I was so sorry to learn of your husband’s passing. I worked at MMWEC in the Engineering Department starting in 1988. You will remember my late mother-in-law, Jane Krol Yefko. I married her son in 1996 and unfortunately he passed away almost 3 years ago. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
