Obituary

Robert A. Derouin, 81, of Ludlow, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. Born August 18, 1942 in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Alfred Derouin and Jeanette (Viger) Derouin Provencal. A graduate of Springfield Trade High School, Bob went on to serve in the Army and Air National Guard before proudly serving as a firefighter for the Town of Ludlow for 34 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Bob is survived by his sons Francis Derouin and his wife Mary Ann of Belchertown and Jason Derouin of Ludlow and his brother Allen Derouin. He also leaves his grandchildren Matthew and Jameson Derouin as well as several nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Derouin in 2022, his step-father Archie Provencal in 2016 and his brother Richard Derouin in 2020.

Visiting hours for Bob will be Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10:00-11:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall Street., Ludlow, MA followed by a funeral home service. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery.
