Richard A. Mileskie, 83, of Palmer, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Son of the late Albert and Amelia (Petrone) Mileskie, he was born in Springfield on February 13, 1943. He worked as a service engineer for Moore Business Forms/Peak Industries for over 30 years. After his retirement, he obtained his Associates degree in Robotics from STCC. He enjoyed racing and work on cars and gocarts. He had his pilot’s license and loved flying his plane. He also enjoyed skiing, fishing, gardening, camping, going to the beach and spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his children Jeanine Wright (Carl Sr.); Steven Mileskie (Diane) and Anthony Mileskie (Anna); his sisters Dorothy Gore and Margaret Mileskie; his brother Albert Mileskie (Huguette). He also leaves his grandchildren Nicholas (Samantha), Jacob, Carl Jr, Alyna and Lily and his great-grandchildren Liam, Noah and Clara Mae. His nephew Kenny Gore, nieces Tracy Habel (Greg) and Kimbery Djurkowitsch (Kurt). Richard also leaves his extended family; grandchildren Alex (Jenn), Emily, Julianne, David (Kate) Michael, Mia and Aiden. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his special friend Shirley Graves and his nephew Brian Gore.
Visiting hours for Richard will be Friday, July 24, 2026 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service will be at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to Scouting America, Western Mass Council, 850 High St, Suite 1-B, Holyoke, MA 01040.
