Rest in Peace! Que Deus lhe dê o interno descanso!
It is with profound pain that I write this note. I knew Father Oliveira for many years. Sadly, since his retirement from Our Lady of Fatima, it was not possible to contact him. He would not answer the phone or emails. I prayed for him. I heard indirectly from a friend that Father Oliveira had died. I knew his Aunts and in fact went to one of their funerals whilst in Portugal. It was a very sad moment. Shortly thereafter the second Aunt died. By that time I was in Madeira. I met Father Vítor in the return trip to the US whilst in the plane. I will always keep profound memories of Father Vítor. I will forever remember our long conversations, our sharing of reading materials and so much more. May he find eternal peace. An eternal hug until we meet again. Elizabeth Arsenio

Thank you Father Victor Oliveira. I remember fondly when you first arrived at St. Anthony’s church in Cambridge you delighted us with your beautiful voice and taught us to enjoy sing with you through the Mass. Your sermons captured our thoughts to learn the scriptures and improve our spiritual growth. You were always kind and loving with everyone and you had an infectious smile. May you rest in peace . 🙏
