Obituary

Rev. Glen Schwarz 82 formerly of Packet Dr. Dennis, MA and formerly of Springfield, MA died Thursday June 5, 2008 in a Chicopee nursing home. Born on Christmas Eve 1925 he was the son of the late Charles and Grace (Minic) Schwarz. Rev. Schwarz was a graduate of the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH and McCormick Seminary in Chicago, IL Glen was a member of the Springfield Civitan Club and the Council of Churches. He served at East Congregational Church in Springfield for over 20 years and most recently at Grave Union Church in Wilbraham. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Foulkrod) Schwarz of Wilbraham, a son Richard Schwarz and his wife Sandy of Madison, AL his daughters Ann Royce and her husband Richard of Ludlow, MA and Diane Fosberg and her husband Glenn of Ashland, MA. Grandfather of 5. Also survived by many extended family members, friends and parishioners he ministered to. Funeral services celebrating his life will be Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 11 AM at Grace Union Church 9 Chapel St. Wilbraham, MA with a reception following in fellowship hall. Friends may call at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow on Monday June 9, 2008 from 4-7 PM.
