Phyllis (Kokoszka) Pereira, 91, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Born January 26, 1931 in the Three Rivers section of Palmer, she was the daughter of the late Szymon and Agatha (Szlosek) Kokoszka. A graduate of Palmer High School, Phyllis worked for many years at Rexnord Chain Belt. A longtime Ludlow resident, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish. She loved spending time with her family, especially summer cookouts.
Phyllis is survived by her son John Pereira and his wife Lisa of Ludlow, her daughters Joyce Cain and her husband Robert of Three Rivers and Lynn Santos and her partner Anthony Curto of Ludlow. She also leaves her 8 beloved grandchildren Shannon, Robert, Michael, Amanda, Todd, Tiffany, John Mack and Jocelyn; her 8 great-grandchildren Kaylee, Jenna, Ayres, Vincent, Olive Dominic, Nico and Isabella; her brother-in-law Alvero Pereira and sister-in-law Hazel Mazzuco, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Phyllis was predeceased by her husband John Pereira in 2012; her son-in-law Antonio Santos; her brothers Milton and Henry and her sisters Veronica and Sophie.
Visiting hours for Phyllis will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery.
