Patricia Ann (Lopata) Sady

Patricia Ann (Lopata) Sady, 59, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Born on September 18, 1966, in Springfield, she was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew J. and Judith V. (Campagna) Lopata.

Raised in Ludlow, Patricia graduated from Ludlow High School, Class of 1984, and later attended Holyoke Community College. She spent most of her life in Ludlow and was a communicant of Christ the King Church. Over the years, she worked as a purchasing agent for Mold Systems, Inc. and The Hanson Group, and later as a mail clerk for the United States Postal Service.

Patricia was known for her warm personality, quick wit, and the unmistakable way she could make people laugh. Outgoing, kind, and fun to be around, she loved hosting company and decorating for holidays—especially Christmas. Some of her fondest memories were family trips to Hammonasset, CT, and Old Orchard Beach, ME, where gatherings over lobster, steamers, and corn were treasured traditions.

Family meant everything to Patricia, especially the tight bond she shared with her only son, Ross. She was also a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she cherished every moment spent with those closest to her. She adored her parents, and their sudden passing just over a year apart was a profound loss she carried throughout her life.

Patricia is survived by her former husband of many years, David M. Sady; her son, Ross A. Lopata; her grandchildren, Carter and Lincoln; her brothers, Andrew J. Lopata Jr. and Thomas N. Lopata; her nephews, Thomas J. Lopata and Matthew A. Lopata, along with Matthew’s wife, Annan, and their children, Lola and Graham; her uncle, aunts, cousins, extended family, and many friends who will remember her fondly.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with the parents she loved so dearly.

Funeral services for Patricia will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church , Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
