Patricia A. (Pollack) Truchan

Patricia Ann (Pollack) Truchan, 81, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023.  Born in Springfield on September 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Valeria (Nikodem) Pollack.  Patricia graduated from Palmer High School and attended AIC. She worked at the former Ludlow Hospital for 26 years and served as its Director of Medical Records and Medical Staff Coordinator.  She also served as Vice-President of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years.  After the hospital’s closure, she worked for the Sisters of Providence (Mercy Hospital) in the Human Resources Dept for 20 years until her retirement in 2016. Patricia was a devout and active communicant of Christ the King Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality.  She was a faithful adorer of the parish’s Perpetual Adoration Chapel since its inception in 2004.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Stephen Truchan of Ludlow; her grandchildren Nicholas and Cameron Truchan of Pittsfield and her sister Cynthia Gallant and her husband Robert at the State Dept in the Republic of Tunisia. She also leaves her nephew Thomas Klimek and his wife Kelly of Ludlow; niece Karen Klimek and Jason Hiller of Ludlow; cousins Edwin Gula of Palmer and James Boyko and his wife Donna of Belchertown as well as grand-nieces and nephews Lauren, Kacie, Zachary, Brendan, Kendra and Jenna.  She is also survived by extended family and friends.  Sadly, she was predeceased by her son Stephen M. Truchan in 2003.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Patricia will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA.  Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bondsville, MA.  There are no calling hours.  Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to Christ the King Perpetual Adoration Chapel, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA 01056.
