Obituary

Max Skot 88 of Ware, formerly of Chicopee a member of the Greatest Generation, died Thursday May 16, 2013 at his home. Born in Chicopee August 6, 1924, son of the late John and Frances (Drysmala) Skot. Educated in local schools, he proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the 1852 Service Command Unit Station Compliment of the United States Army. Max worked for the City of Chicopee with many years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 452, the Tigers Athletic Club, the Chicopee Moose Club. And avid sports fan, he was a little league baseball coach. His wife Jane Gaulin died July 30, 1990. He is survived by his loving family, Matthew Skot of Indian Orchard, Thomas Skot of FL, Carol Gibson of NC, Rose Racine, Maxine Dube, and Deborah Missildine all of Chicopee, Margaret Huot of Palmer and Paula Corriveau of Ware. Grandfather of 23, great-grandfather of 15. Also survived by extended family members and friends.

Service Information

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 10 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow. Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of committal with Military Honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
