Maryetta “Mary” (Alexander) Casagrande, 89, formerly of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Born in Ludlow on October 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Conceicao (Lopes) Alexander.
Mary is survived by her daughter Dolores Nacewicz and her husband Edward of Agawam; 4 sisters Laura McCarron, Ida Pelczar, Dolores DiPietro and Irene Carenza. She also leaves her 5 granddaughters Kimmel(Chris), Shauna(Jeremiah), Sarah, Rebecca(Shawn) and Meagan, 7 great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years Reno Casagrande in 2012, her daughters Carol in 1948 and Kathleen in 2012, her granddaughter Kaitlyn in 2015, her siblings Al in 1961 and Theresa in 2003

At Mary’s request, all services are private
Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family
Mary’s family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts donations be made to Mercy Hospice, 2112 Riverdale Road, West Springfield, MA 01089 or the charity of one’s choice.
