Mary A. (Zastepa) Laskowski of Feeding Hills, who graced our lives for 90 wonderful years, passed away peacefully at her home on January 29, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life surrounded by the presence of her family. Born in Springfield, MA May 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Wojciech (Albert) and Katarzyna (Iwaniec) Gazda Zastepa.
Mary was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard and also attended Mass at Sacred Heart Parish in Feeding Hills. Educated in Springfield schools, she worked for several local companies, retiring from Carando Food Products.
She enjoyed Polish music, food and dancing along with scratch tickets, gardening, watching wrestling, going on vacations and especially being with her granddaughters. She was a Chapter I and Chapter II member of the Agawam Senior Center where she made lots of friends. Mary had lived in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield for many years before moving to Ludlow, Westfield and finally Feeding Hills for the remainder of her life.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Frank Laskowski, her granddaughter Ann Marie Laskowski, her sister Stella Nowak, her stepsister Amelia (Emily) Wisniewski, and two step-brothers Edward and Stephen Gazda.
Mary is survived by her son Rodney Laskowski and his wife Wes (Wiesia) of Chicopee, her granddaughter Cathy Laskowski and a devoted niece Debra BShara of Feeding Hills and other cherished nieces and nephews.

I'm relocating to AZ and just found a piece of paper ,clearing out, with Mary's name and phone number on it, so decided to look on the internet. I'm so sorry about the loss of your Mom, 4 months after you both were at Tillies' wake. Tillie and I were both so glad to have gone to Mary's 90th birthday party at the Monte Carlo, the last event that Tillie was able to attend. I wish you and your family all the best, Gail
Funeral Services celebrating Mary’s life will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 115 Parker St, Indian Orchard, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA
