Mae V. (Dore) Hicks

Mae V. (Dore) Hicks, 89, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2019.  Daughter of the late Henry and Viola (Plummer) Dore, she was born in Ludlow on May 3, 1930.  A lifelong resident, she was a graduate of Ludlow High School and worked as a manager of the former Bradlee’s Dept Store.  Active in the Ludlow Golden Agers and Sr. Citizens Club, she was a longtime communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.

Mae is survived by her son John Hicks and his wife Jane and her daughter Beverly Brassard, all of Ludlow.  She also leaves her 5 grandchildren Kimberly, Melanie, Michael, Steven and Jill, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Sadly she was predeceased by her husband John Hicks, her son-in-law Michael Brassard, her brothers Henry, Charles, Earl and Harold and her sisters Catherine and Alice.

Services for Mae will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.  There are no calling hours.
