Linda (Krzyzek) Galica

Linda (Krzyzek) Galica, 76, of Chicopee passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Born in Ludlow, MA on February 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Wanda (Gwozdzek) Krzyzek.  Linda graduated from Ludlow High School and worked at Steiger’s for many years.  She was a communicant of Christ the King Parish in Ludlow.  Linda was a kind, loving person whose generous spirit was appreciated by all who knew her. She spent much of her early adult life joyously entertaining friends and neighbors, opening up her home to them, especially during the holidays and on special occasions.  She didn’t know a stranger and loved to laugh.  Her laughter was contagious.  Linda loved to read and enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sunshine, visiting the ocean and being with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband of 30 years James Galica of Chicopee; her daughters Cynthia Cannamela (James) of Springfield, IL and Deborah Yensen (Donnie) of Southwick; her step-sons Greg Galica (Fran) and Daniel Galica (Melissa) both of Chicopee and her brother Walter “Jim” Krzyzek (Marilyn) of Las Vegas, NV and her sister-in law Annette Krzyzek of Ludlow.  She also leaves her 6 beloved grandchildren Vincent, Mario, Grant, Ashley, Lauren and Jonathan along with many dear nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Theodore “Taj” Krzyzek in 1998.
