Lauria E. (Laprise) Chapman

Lauria E. (Laprise) Chapman, 90, passed away peacefully at Care One in East Longmeadow on August 21, 2021.  She was born in Millbury, MA to the late Laura and Eugene Laprise and predeceased by her husband, Ronald Chapman, who passed away in 2001. She lived in Southbridge, MA most of her life moving to Ludlow in 1958. She retired from Friendly’s Corp in Wilbraham. Lauria was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church in Ludlow, a member of the St Anne Sodality, a Eucharistic minister and sang in the Heralds of the Lord choir for 20 years. She belonged to the Dominican Laity Mother of God chapter in West Springfield and was also a volunteer worker for St. John the Baptist School.

Lauria leaves her 11 nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends.

Visiting hours for Lauria will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 9:15-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St.,  Ludlow, MA . Masks will be requored. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 191 Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA.  She will be laid to rest in Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow. ln lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dominican Monastery, 1430 Riverdale St., West Springfield, MA 01089 or St Elizabeth’s Parish, 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow, MA 01056.
