Julian W. Siok, 93, of Ludlow, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. A lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Nicewicz) Siok, leaving Ludlow High School to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. Julian was awarded the Bronze Star along with two battle stars for his service in France, Belgium and the Rhineland. In 2000, he received his diploma at a recognition ceremony at Ludlow High School. He was self-employed as a farmer and custom tractor mechanic and longtime carrier for the Springfield Republican.
Julian is survived by his son Alan Siok and his wife Paula and daughters Joyce Siok and Constance Dones, all of Ludlow and 2 sisters Helen Katsanos of Wilbraham and Stella Carignan of West Springfield. He also leaves his four grandchildren Becky, Casey, Justin and David and his 2 great-grandchildren Madeline and Eleanor. Sadly he was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years Edwina (Skura) Siok in 1997, as well as his brother Theodore and his sisters Nellie, Viola, Bertha, and Dorothy.
Visiting hours at Christ the King Church will precede the funeral Mass on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial for Julian on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in Island Pond Cemetery, Center St. Ludlow, MA
