Judith L. (Langevin) Dembek, 87, of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Daughter of the late Armond and Leah (Champagne) Langevin, she was born in Ludlow on March 11, 1939. A longtime resident, Judy was a graduate of Ludlow High School. Throughout her diverse and fulfilling career, she dedicated many years to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, excelled in the insurance sector, and later brought joy to local families as a school bus driver. She held a deep pride in her lifelong connection to St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow, where she was a constant, dedicated presence. Judy found great joy cooking for those she loved and surrounding herself with her cherished family and lifelong friends.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years John Dembek; her daughter Lynn White and 4 stepchildren. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Janice Kovitch (husband Tim Roberge); Kristina Kovitch; Melissa Hathaway (husband Roosevelt Hathaway); Casey Mendrala and Brian Mendrala as well as many adored great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, including nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her daughter Dawn Mendrala and her sisters Joan Laipple, Barbara Burke and Beverly Gauntt.
Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services for Judy will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow, MA. Burial will be at Island Pond Cemetery.
