Josephine (Majowicz) Koziol, 93, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Szwiek) Majowicz, she was born in Ludlow on September 14, 1925. A lifelong resident, she was a graduate of Ludlow High School and worked for the Springfield Newspapers until her retirement. She was a devout communicant of Christ the King Church, a member of the St. Anne Sodality, a member of the Polonia Club. She loved shopping with her sister-in-law Helen, playing Bingo with her friend Jean and going to lunch with her classmate Anne.
Josephine is survived by her daughter Phyllis Kelly and husband Henry of Monson, MA, her beloved grandchild Jamie Pinto and husband David, great-grandchild Dylan, grandchild Jason Kelly and wife Valerie, loving cat Pinky, nieces, nephews and friends. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Koziol in 1991 and her sisters and brothers.
Visiting hours for Josephine will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in St, Aloysius Cemetery. Donations in Josephine’s memory may be made to Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA 01056 or the ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
