Joseph A. Collins 87 of Chicopee died Monday March 11, 2013 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, MA son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Lagace) Collins. Educated in local schools he served his country during World War II as a Carpenters Mate Third Class with the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife Rita, and extended family members and friends. He was an avid bird watcher.

Funeral services Monday March 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia’s Church 42 Main St. Wilbraham at 11 AM. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be Monday at 2 PM at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Agawam.
