Joan A. (Benoit) Methot, 87, of Ludlow, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019. Born in Ludlow on May 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold and M. Agatha (O’Connell) Benoit. Joan grew up in Indian Orchard, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1950. She spent most of her life in Ludlow. Joan worked for many years at the former SIS Bank and was a communicant of Christ the King Church. She loved spending time at the Ludlow Senior Center.
Joan is survived by her son Thomas Methot and his wife Deborah of Hamden, CT and two daughters Peg Hinkley of Ludlow and Ann Dube and her husband Gaston of Springfield. She also leaves her 6 beloved grandchildren Krysten, Tyler, Colin, Kara, Conner and Elise as well as 3 great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Alexander and Gia. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Francis Methot in 1994 and her brother John (Jack) Benoit. .
Visiting hours for Joan will be Friday, July 19, 2019 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery. Donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Ludlow Senior Center Building Fund, 37 Chestnut St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
