Jeannette R. (Galipo) Panetta, 89, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. A lifelong resident, she was born in Westfield on August 22, 1935. Jeannette worked as an assembler at Digital Equipment for many years.
Jeannette is survived by her sons William Fitzgerald of Westfield, James Fitzgerald, his wife Pamela and their daughter Ashley of Chicopee and Robert Fitzgerald and his wife Sharon of North Chesterfield, VA. She also leaves her granddaughter Alexandra Fitzgerald; her sister Alice Carrey and two great-grandchildren Benji and Arnel. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Panetta, her daughter Jean Berry; her brothers Leo and Roland and her sister Rita.
A graveside service for Jeannette will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM in St. Michael’s Cemetery, State St., Springfield, MA.
