Jean-Louis “Oscar” “John” Chabot, 80, of Wilbraham, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 surrounded by his family. Son of the late Oscar Louis and Marie (Blanche) Chabot, he was born on May 16, 1943 in St. Michael, Quebec, Canada. A long time Wilbraham resident, John worked as a builder for many years. He also owned several car washes, being the first to bring “touchless” car washes to the region.
John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Sandra Nina (Mackay) Chabot; his sons Dean, Troy and Glen and his daughter Michelle Hildenbrand. He also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings.
John was a dedicated family man and enjoyed sledding, skiing, fishing, camping, RVing and snowmobiling with them. He also enjoyed bowling with his wife. He was a man of his word, honest and committed to whatever he undertook.
He was totally devoted to his wife, the “love of his life”, his “soulmate”.
