Janice (Dodge) Stoner, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Born April 22 in Lackawanna, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hovey and Edith (Whealen) Dodge. Janice proudly served her country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She retired from Friendly’s Corporation where she had many friends. She loved piloting various aircraft, riding her motorcycle on country roads and her many projects.
Janice is survived by her daughter Karen; her son Billy and his wife Cindy and her sister Lois. She also leaves her 4 beloved grandchildren Bryan, Bill, Cory (Kara) and Desirae (Jeff); her 5 beautiful great-grandchildren Danielle (Josh), Josh, Ethan, Jeffrey and Gracie as well as her nieces Ginny (Terry) and Linda and nephew David (Donna). She will be sorely missed by her adoring grandpugs Dakota and Dallas. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Charles and nephew Charlie.
Services celebrating Janice’s life will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM (please arrive at 2:45 PM) at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Homes for Our Troops, 6 Main St, Taunton, MA 02780 or at www.hfotusa.org.
