James J. Kosnicki, 74 of the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021. Born in Ludlow on December 1, 1946, he was the son of the late Patrick and Genevieve (Dziura) Kosnicki. Educated in local schools, he proudly served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. James went on to work as a mechanic for the Springfield Police Dept for many years.
James is survived by his wife Teresa Kosnicki of Indian Orchard; two sons Shawne Kosnicki and Adam Kosnicki (Sharon), also of Indian Orchard and his brother Jack Kosnicki (Pam). He also leaves his 4 grandchildren Christopher, Cassandra, Stephanie and Joshua. .
All services are private, with burial at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
