James E. Sweeney, 55, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, November 27, 2025, with his loved ones by his side. Son of Diane Tipton and the late Neville Sweeney, he was born on November 9,1970. James was a 1988 graduate of Springfield Central High School. He worked for many years at Toys R Us, Avery Dennison and spent his past last years at Proampac as a night lead man. James loved bowling and enjoyed traveling during the last few years.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Sara Sweeney; his children Kendell Sweeney, Desiree Owen and her husband Xavier, Evan Sweeney, Neva Sweeney and Kyra Sweeney and his granddaughter Sailynn Owen and his brother Jeffrey Sweeney. He also leaves many beloved friends.
Visiting hours for James will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
