Jaime C. Dias, 85, of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born in Lisbon, Portugal on June 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Alfredo and Lucinda Dias. He worked for many years as a machine operator for Caraustar Industries. Two of Jaime’s favorite pastimes were watching soccer and feeding the people he loved.
Jaime is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Leonor Dias of Ludlow; his daughters Ana Cook and her husband Richard of Palmer and Elsa Barros and her husband Tim of Ludlow. He also leaves his 3 grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael and Brian Barros and a cousin Isaura Vega. In addition to his parents, Jaime was predeceased by his sister Luciella Dias.
Visiting hours for Jaime will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5:00-6:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow MA. A service will follow from 6:30-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jaime’s name to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts-Feed, Lead, Strengthen, 25 Carew St., Chicopee, MA 01020 or www.foodbankwma.org.
