Hermine J. (Vanderlick) DeMichele

Hermine J. (Vanderlick) DeMichele, 87, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born in Northampton, MA on August 21, 1939, Hermine was a daughter of the late Stanley and Lucile (Sawicki) Vanderlick. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce. Hermine was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for several local companies. She was a member of the Ludlow Democratic Committee. Hermine enjoyed walks along the Riverwalk and was a talented painter.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Victor DeMichele, her sons, Daniel Deso (Linda) and John Deso, a daughter, Sharon Lavoie (David), her grandchildren Brian Deso, Shannon Deso and Nicole Lavoie, her sister, Inez Tate, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Services for Hermine will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Visitation will take place from 3:00-6:00pm, concluding with a prayer service at 6:00pm. Donations in Hermine’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
