Helen J. (Plata) Grabowski

Helen (Plata) Grabowski, 97, of Ludlow, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Helen was a graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School, Mass General School of Nursing, American International College and St. Joseph’s College. She worked for 30 years in the Granby, MA school system and at various health service institutions. She was a member of the Mass. Teachers Association and a communicant of Christ the King Church.

Helen is survived by her daughters Ann Whitworth and Paula Plante and husband Joseph. She also leaves her grandchildren Joshua, Jacob and Theodore Whitworth and his wife Mora and Brittany Boczon, as well as her great-grandchildren Thomas, Devon, Jackson, James, Ayden and Erica. Helen was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Mary Plata, her son William Grabowski, her brother Edward Plata and her grandson Tyler Boczon.

Visiting hours for Helen will be Friday, November 6, 2026, from 9:00-10:30AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center, 228 State St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
