We lost our sunshine. Helen (Bizon) Janocha, 100, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family (Team Sto Lat). Daughter of the late John and Stella (Wolowicz) Bizon, she was born on November 4, 1925. She worked as a tester for the former F.W. Sickles Corp and was a lifelong Chicopee resident. She enjoyed spending time with family near and far, spoiling her grand- and great-grandkids, loved to cook and was always ready to try her luck at the casino. Her most asked for dish was her famous coleslaw.
Helen is survived by her sons Stanley (Sandra), Ronald, and William (Natalie) Janocha and her treasured sister and forever friend Evelyn Tenczar (Richard). She also leaves her grandchildren Bryan (Adriana), Christopher (Alethea), Ronald II (Karen), Steven (Jennifer), Allison, Elizabeth, Stephanie (Brian), Ryan (Tara), Gregg (Evan), Blythe, Madison and Kai, along with her great-grandchildren Dillon, Nicolette, Jillian, Jenna, Cameron, Ryan, Stanley, Henry, Julia, Aubrey, Ryan, Joey Kate, Miles, Jack and Alice, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her son Thomas, and her brothers Edward, Max, Edwin and Chester Bizon, as well as her daughters-in-law Wendy and Alene.
Helen’s family would like to thank the staff from Holyoke Hospice for their compassionate care.
