Gloria E. (Sorrell) Tetrault, 96, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Born in Springfield on July 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Marie Rose (Lavalley) Sorrell. Educated in local schools, she worked as an office clerk for the former Chapman Valve for many years. A longtime Ludlow resident, she was a devout communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
Gloria is survived by two daughters Elaine Hughes of Ludlow and Patricia Lohse of Buckley, WA. She also leaves her 4 grandchildren Danielle, Kathleen, Jess and Erin; 9 great-grandchildren Tyler, Becca, Abbey, Maygan, Emelia, Madison, Ben, Jacob and Blake and 2 great-great-grandchildren Finn and Elowyn Charlotte. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband of 74 years Clarence Tetrault in 2017 and her sister Theresa Circe.
Visiting hours for Gloria will be Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Rites of Committal will be in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Gloria’s family requests that donations be made to St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
