Gertrude (Obrzut) Pisarczyk, 86, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2014 surrounded by her family after bravely battling cancer for 8 years. Born in Ludlow, September 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Apolonia Obrzut.
Gertrude was raised in Wilbraham and a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. She worked at Eastern Manufacturing Co in Wilbraham as a circuit board assembler for many years. She was a communicant of Christ the King and Immaculate Conception Churches. Gertrude treasured her family, her faith, and her garden. She loved to crochet, gifting family and friends with her hand-made afghans and doilies. She enjoyed her special collections of teddy bears and salt and pepper shakers.
Gertrude is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Stanley Pisarczyk; her daughter Madeline Jodoin and her husband Richard of Wilbraham; two granddaughters Cory McLaughlin and Erin Griffin; and three beautiful great-grandchildren: Lauren, Ryan and Lucy. She also leaves her brother-in law John Pisarczyk and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for Gertrudes Funeral Service on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 9:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Avenue, Springfield, MA
