Francis L. Sanky Chenaille 81of Ludlow died Sunday, August 26, 2012, in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ludlow December 3, 1930, son of the late Domina and Teresa (Charpentier) Chenaille. Educated in local schools, he proudly served his country during the Korean War attaining the rank of E-5 in the United States Army. Sanky worked as a Senior Accountant with over 31 years of service for Monsanto Chemical Company. A Communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish, he was a member of the League of the Sacred Heart, a member and past president of the Mended Hearts Club, and a longtime member of the Monsanto Employee Credit Union Board of Directors. He served the Town of Ludlow as a School Committee Members, a Member of the Town’s Charter Commission, and as a Town Meeting Member. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart Beverly A. (Eisold) Chenaille, together they shared 60 years of marriage, his daughter Rebecca Johnson, a brother Albert Chenaille, a sister Rita Podsadowski, his cherished grandchildren Mackenzie and Austin Johnson all of Ludlow. Also survived by extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be Friday, August 31 at 7:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial offered by the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow at 9 AM. Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of committal with Military Honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Agawam.
