Frances T. (Puza) Sasur

Frances T. (Puza) Sasur, 91, of Ludlow, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.  Born in Chicopee on October 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Antonney (Juszenska) Puza.  A graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Westfield, Frances worked as the branch manager of Ludlow Savings Bank for many years. A devout communicant of Christ the King Parish, she volunteered for over 25 years as Treasurer of the Ladies Guild, a member of the picnic committee and as a bingo worker.  She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the Polish American Veterans’ Club and in retirement enjoyed traveling and golfing.  She was a talented knitter who made treasured personalized Christmas stockings for each member of her family.

Frances is survived by her 3 daughters Diane Drozdowski (Stephen); Deborah Geoffroy (Paul) and Janice Ouimette (Denis) and her brothers Robert and Michael Puza.  She also leaves her 5 grandchildren David, Kathleen, Andrea, Allison and Adam as well as 3 great-grandchildren Genevieve, Joshua and Liam.  Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Mitchell Sasur in January, 2022 as well as her brothers Frederick, Wesley, Edward and Richard Puza and her sister Jane Kielbasa.

Visiting hours for Frances will be Friday, July 1, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ memory be made to Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA or the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
