Obituary

Frances L. (Skiba) Lunsford Cray, 90, of Ludlow passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022.  Daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Huot) Skiba, she was born in Holyoke on August 12, 1932.  Educated in local schools, Frances was a talented seamstress; owning and operating Stitch and Mend for many years.   Frances was also a nursing assistant and a nationally registered EMT in the area.  She loved fishing and camping. She was a longtime active member of the Church in the Acres in Springfield.

Frances leaves her two sons Michael Lunsford of Ludlow and Shaun Cray of Springfield; her grandchildren Sherry Geisler, Donna Lunsford, Elizabeth Drisley, Abby Teague and Gina Lunsford; her great-grandchildren Crystal, Gabby, Felicity, Lexie, Zack, Alex, Hatcher, Fawn and Izzac and her great-great-grandchildren Lawliet, Killian, Makalya and Brantley.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Billy Joe Lunsford; her second husband John Cray; her sons Bobby and Ernest Lunsford; Steven and Duane Cray; her daughter Kathleen Cray; her brothers Edmund, Adrian and Paul Skiba and her sister Doris Peterson.

Visiting hours for Frances will be Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA.  A funeral home service will follow at 3:30 PM.  Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
