Forrest J. McCarthy

Forrest J. McCarthy 75 of Ludlow, MA, passed away while on vacation in Chatham, MA. On Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Born in Boston, MA, May 2, 1937, son of the late John and Mary J. (Fitzgerald) McCarthy. Educated at Thayer Academy, Forrest furthered his education at Middlebury College. He was a proud participant in his recent 50th Reunion of his college class. A Communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church, he was a friend of Bill W. An avid history buff, he also enjoyed board games, and spending time on Cape Cod. he also traveled cross country to visit his son in Jackson, WY. He is survived by his wife whom he married on Thanksgiving Day of 1989, Bonnie Laurie (Barnes) McCarthy. His son Forrest G. McCarthy and his wife Amy his daughters Melissa and Cynthia. Stepdaughters Laurie Allen and her husband Crane, Cherie Donnelly and her husband Bill, and Denise Pashko and her husband Gary. Brother of Maureen Scalia, and her husband Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Grandfather of 14, Great-grandfather of 2, Uncle of 9 Nieces and nephews, also survived by extended family members and friends.
