MY HUSBAND AND I HAD KNOWN ETHEL AND AL FOR MANY YEARS. MY HUSBAND IS NOW WITH THE LORD BUT WE HAD MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES FROM VISITS TO THEIR WARM HOME. I WOULD WALK ALONG THE RESERVOIR WITH YVONNE AND ETHEL AND THE BEAUTY OF NATURE WOULD SURROUND US. THE PARTIES AROUND THE POOL, THE LAUGHTER OF FRIENDS, US LADIES IN A CIRCLE CURLED UP ON THE LAWN CHAIRS AND SOMEHOW THE MEN WOULD ALL CONGREGATE TOGETHER DISCUSSING SPORTS, GOLF OR WHATEVER MEN TALK ABOUT. THE DOGS RUNNING AROUND. WE PLACE THESE MEMORIES SOMEWHERE IN THE SECRET PLACES OF OUR HEART TO BE THOUGHT OF WHEN WE REMEMBER OUR PAST. ETHEL, YOU WERE A WOMAN OF REAL CLASS AND GRACE. YET YOU WERE A WONDERFUL FRIEND AND A DELIGHTFUL PERSON. AL, I KNOW YOU ARE LONELY BUT OUR MEMORIES WILL SOMEDAY BE REALIZED AGAIN. SO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS ARE ALREADY WITH OUR GOD AND SOMEDAY WE WILL ALL BE TOGETHER AGAIN, SITTING AROUND THE LORD. BUT THIS TIME OUR SWEET FELLOWSHIP WILL NOT BE AROUND THE POOL OR THE RESERVOIR. WE WILL NOT CARE ABOUT SMALL TALK. WE WILL BE BLISSFULLY HAPPY AS ETHEL IS NOW. I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE ALL WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US, AND TO ETHEL'S FAMILY A SPECIAL MESSAGE. IF ANY OF YOU THAT READ THIS DO NOT HAVE THE ASSURANCE OF AN ETERNITY WITH THE SAVIOUR PLEASE COME TO HIM NOW. REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND ASK HIM TO SAVE YOU. MY CONDOLENCES TO ETHELS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WILL BE PRAYING THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU COMFORT AND PEACE IN THE DAYS AHEAD. LOVE, CAROLYN
