Eleanor M. (Cupillo) Casagranda 92, a longtime resident of Ludlow died Friday May 28 in a Wilbraham nursing home. Born in Springfield March 28, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Concetto and Maria (Conti) Cupillo. Employed by the Buxton Company of Agawam,, Eleanor was a faithful and active member of the former St, Mary of the Assumption Church, a member of its Ladies Guild, and was active with the Ludlow Lodge of Elks BPOE 2448 and it’s Emblem Club # 466. She was the widow of John Casagranda who died September 19, 1997. She is survived by her loving family including sons John V. Casagranda and his wife Kathleen of Ludlow and Robert G. Casagrande and his wife Robin of Groton, CT. Grandmother of Lynn Casagranda, Joseph Casagranda and his wife Jennifer, Katie Casagrande and Jennifer Casagrande. Great-Grandmother of Justin, Corey, Ashley, Taylor, Martin, Max, Luke and Gavin. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be Friday June 4 with family and friends gathering at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow at 9 AM a concelebrated Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM by the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin and Fr. Francis J. Manning will preside. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
