Doris P. (Jacobs) Hebert, 94, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 15, 1925 in Sterling, MA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Jacobs and Marion (Pearson) Horta. She was a proud member of the first graduating class of the University of Massachusetts in 1947. A longtime Ludlow resident she was very active in the community serving as past President of the Chapin St PTA, Gridiron Moms of LHS and past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of First Church in Ludlow, the Present Day Club of Ludlow and College Club of Springfield.
Doris is survived by her sons Allen Hebert (Sharon) of Winthop, MA; Craig Hebert (Lois) of Torrance, CA; daughters Joy McCarron (Robert) of Ludlow and Holly Bayeur (David) of Chicopee, as well as her sisters Jacqueline Corbett, Marion Nelson, Donna Andre and Ramona Parker, all of Belchertown. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Shawn, Lindsay, Nicole, Katherine, Erik and Paul as well as her great-grandchildren Aren, Rafe, Griffin and Sadie. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Paul Hebert in 2014 and her sister Juanita Eckert.

Funeral services for Doris will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Church in Ludlow, 859 Center St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours at the church will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris’ memory may be made to First Church in Ludlow; Alzheimer’s Assoc. of Massachusetts, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104
