DonnaBelle Haluch

DonnaBelle (Shaw) Haluch, 88, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Life Care of Wilbraham. Born June 2, 1926 in Ludlow, MA, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Elsie (Jones) Shaw. DonnaBelle was raised in Indian Orchard and was a 1943 graduate of Springfield Technical High School and the Gaugh Business School.

She married the love of her life Raymond T. Haluch who pre-deceased her in 1995. Together they worked to restore their 1750 home and farmland. Later the property became known as Misty Meadows LTD, a popular bed and breakfast. DonnaBelle was employed by the Ludlow School Department for 29 years. She was active in many local organizations including the Garden Club, Mothers Club and the Present Day Club. In addition she was a Cub Scout Leader, Gridiron Mom and served for 15 years as a 4-H Club Leader. DonnaBelle was instrumental in forming the Ludlow Co-Operative Nursery formerly located in the Stevens Memorial Building (the Rec) in 1951.

DonnaBelle was a woman of many talents. She was an exceptional pianist and organist, an accomplished seamstress and a local artist who taught decorative arts for over 40 years.

She is survived by her son Thomas Haluch and his wife Lisa; her daughters Patricia Stagnaro and her husband Charles and Paula Siok and her husband Alan all of Ludlow. She leaves her seven grandchildren Kelly Davis, Tracy Creegan, Lindsey Lemek, Rebecca Hardick, Casey Siok, Charles Stagnaro and Ashlee Bowman and three great-grandaughters.
